HULL is hand female molded wet preg SP Systems Ampreg 22 epoxy sandwich construction with bi-axial E-glass fabrics with 25 mm of various density airex foam core vacuum bagged and post cured. Hull solid laminate around keel and around rudder stock passage, S-drive unit and at each through hull fitting.
The hull is molded in epoxy with an Awlgrip final coat in color of choice with one sheer line and 2 waterlines.
DECK is hand laid up over a female mold with epoxy/cored construction and color coded Awlgrip white. Awlgrip anti-slip on deck in certain areas. Custom designed toughened glass windows recessed into the side of the coach roof. Deck has molded platforms and recesses for hatches deck gear and the like. Teak decking 9mm side decks and cockpit.
The deck has local reinforcement at each deck fitting as well as Kevlar and carbon fiber reinforcements. Composite chainplates (carbon fiber) are also built into the structure.
KEEL is high tensile steel foil with torpedo shaped lead bulb, composite faired and painted, through bolted with 30 mm high tensile bolts. Hull/keel joints recessed into hull, glassed and faired.
Heavy duty glass/epoxy/Kevlar, carbon fiber floor beams infused to hull for ultimate keel support and hull stiffening. This frame takes up all loads from the keel, mast and rig.
Optional Lifting Keel for shoal cruising or docking.
RUDDER is vacuum laminated rudder blade using epoxy, biaxial and unidirectional E-Glass fabrics/Kevlar in a sandwich construction using high density Airex foam. Carbon fiber rudderstock and quadrant; E-glass rudder blade (CNC'd and autoclaved/tested). Jeffa composite rudder bearings.
INTERIOR structural bulkheads are of cored construction, varying in thickness from 24-29 mm, securely bonded to both hull and deck. Cored cherry interior with solid moldings and profiles. All laminated door frames. 8mm cherry planked floor on cored boards. Laminated cherry skirtings/fiddles/door frames.
Interior built of lightweight panels in choice veneers. Vinyl headliner, satin.
Option: Two or Three Cabins (2 Cabin design has massive sail locker forward).
General accommodation includes sleeping cabins, two heads, large salon, nav station, and large galley. Interior is luxurious high gloss cherrywood finish.
The 3 cabin version has a forward master stateroom with large double island centerline bed facing aft. To port is a settee and large wardrobe with shelves and hanging bar. To starboard is a hanging wardrobe. The en suite head facility follows to port.
The main salon has a long U-shaped settee to port and is served by a dining table. To starboard is a straight settee. There are cabinets outboard and behind the settees. The straight settee can double as a berth.
Following to port is the fully equipped galley (details below), and to starboard is the styled navigation area with chart table and drawers, storage and nav seat. Following is the guest head.
The heads have stainless steel sinks and basins, all chrome Italian mixers, basin and shower mixer, rounded Corian tops.
Aft each to port and starboard are the guest cabins with double or two single berths. They have wardrobes, bureaus and storage areas.
Cushions have high quality designer upholstery fabrics, curtains and blinds, and skylights. Lighting is high quality designer halogen spotlights and downlights. 5 Oceanair blinds and screens; 8 Hella fans; 20 LED floor courtesy lights; 6 Cantaluppi designer reading lights; 16 recessed downlighters, 30w/40w.
