The epoxy foam core-constructed Nexus 600 is the ultimate long distance cruiser and adventure boat with loads of space for your fishing rods and scuba gear, huge carrying capacity and every home comfort. The sleek, bamboo-trimmed 58ft catamaran sleeps nine in four storage-rich en-suite cabins, with air-conditioning powered by a 12kw Westerbeke diesel generator. The saloon, equipped with all the kitchen essentials, has three refrigerators and a comfortable seating area that converts into a large bed. Luxury doesn't mean sacrificing performance, though. The mast is 74ft2" tall from deck, and there are two 110hp Yanmar 4JH4-HTE shaft drive engines on board. It carries an astonishing 580.71gal of diesel, as well as 388.3gal of fresh water. The vessel has an overall beam of 28ft6" and a draft of 4ft5", with a load capacity of 13 260lbs, with a full Navnet 3D system on board. In sea trials she was described as "Quick; slipping through the water well and with a very sensitive response for such a big cat". In one trial the Nexus 600 reached 20 knots. |
