The vessel is a fully welded steel carvel built hull type fishing vessel, with two decks, a raked stem, transom stern, seven transverse watertight bulkheads and two masts.
The superstructure is fitted aft of amidships, there is an closed whaleback on the foredeck, one refrigerated hold below the main deck, a bait hold, a fish processing factory, three (3) blast freezers and the engine room is aft below the superstructure.
The vessel was purchased in 2012 in Norway where the vessel had been laid up for a period of time.
The vessel was dry docked in Norway and steel repairs were carried out within the ice belt area on the hull, the hull was painted, some items of electronic equipment were replaced, the flag was changed and the Class Renewal surveys were carried out. The main engine and auxiliary engines were overhauled and all pumps in the engine room were stripped and inspected.
The vessel sailed to Mauritius where the fishing gear was loaded and modifications were carried out in the factory to suit their fishing requirements.

The vessel is outfitted with Western European style accommodation which is in good condition for the age of the vessel.

Line recovery bay:
The hauling station is located on the starboard side about midships with the BRATTVAAG line hauler (sheave type). Spare gear is stored forward of the hauling station in the focsle store areas. The hauling station is fitted with a hydraulic door which can be closed remotely.
Focsle stores:
Spare fishing gear and materials such as piping and steel is stowed in the port forward store areas.
There is a transducer compartment forward wherein the emergency fire pump (single cylinder HATZ engine driven) and the offal discharge pump are located.
The starboard side store contains the two (2) BRATTVAAG hydraulic pumps and the ODIM factory hydraulic power pack unit.
Fish hold:
The vessel has one fish hold, of about 570 m3 total capacity with a bait storage hold of about 40 tonnes capacity aft, both insulated and with coiling coil units mounted on the deck heads. The hold is used as a freezer hold for the carriage of frozen fish.
There is a transport conveyor in the fish hold and a hydraulic wire lift platform in the bait hold.
The fish is frozen in one of the three (3) blast freezers before being placed into the main hold for storage.

Electronic fishing and navigation equipment:
The engine control and navigation equipment is located on the starboard side of the bridge. There is a table and seating area on the port side forward, the GMDSS radio station is located on the port side aft and the chart table is located amidships in the bridge. Main engine: CATERPILLAR 3516 AM main engine rated at 1200 KW
The main engine was completely overhauled in Norway during December 2012 and January 2013 and has run about 10,086 hours since then.
The engine had a top overhaul in January 2015.
Gearbox: VOLDA gearbox type ACG 450 CP62.4 and ratio 5.25:1 driving a variable pitch propeller.
Propeller: VOLDA single screw variable pitch propeller, right hand and of 2500 mm diameter.
Rudder: BECKER flap type rudder
Auxiliaries: Two (2) CATERPILLAR 3412 diesel engines rated at 536 KW, 719 HP at 1800 rpm each driving a SR4 625 KVA, 500 KW, 440 V, 3-phase, 60 HZ AC alternator.
Both auxiliary engines were overhauled in Norway beginning of 2013 and have been regularly serviced since then.
